Jojo Watts is a wife to her loving husband Taylor of 28 years and mother to their three kids Wyatt, Hunter, and Mayor.

Her desire to be creative and tell stories led her to New York City, where she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the New School for Social Research.

Jojo's delightful, and beautifully rendered tale chronicles her trials and tribulations in late 1980's New York City, and her finding true love along the way. Although not originally from NYC, she deftly captures the essence of what a hard working girl's life was like at that time, and her references to popular bars, music, restaurants, and trends are spot on. Reading her book made me nostalgic for bygone times. Funny, and heartfelt - her book explores personal authenticity, acceptance, and love. Highly recommend!!

You think you know love?

This modern day boy-meets-girl story has all the ingredients necessary for an entertaining read. I found it easy to relate to the characters and was intrigued by the disparity in the lives of the two lovers, Brooke and Harrison. Brooke (though Jojo) gives an amazing description of Harrison's grandmother's world and in contrast, of her own childhood, by sharing vivid details of real-world scenarios and emotions. Sweet and heartfelt to the end - this is my 'girlfriend gift' of the year.
